About
All about Massive Attack
"Our new live show marks the most transgressive leap in the collaboration between 3D x United Visual Artists since 2003.
By reverse engineering algorithms to expose content anomalies & recursive feedback loops, we seek to provoke a dialogue on the broken dream of the confident, empowered individual 'self', in the context of the global collapse of liberal democracies."
After the great success of 2024 in Piazza Sordello in Mantova, Massive Attack, the group formed by Robert "3D" Del Naja and Grant "Daddy G" Marshall, is ready to bring back the magic of trip hop in Italy with an unforgettable show.
Massive Attack are considered the inventors of Trip Hop, taking the rhythms of hip hop, using electronic sampling and combining many other musical genres including dub, reggae and ambient music.
Some of the most recognizable compositions of their musical production were distinguished by the absence of choruses, characterized instead by dramatic atmospheres intensely transmitted through the use of distorted guitar crescendi, sumptuous orchestral arrangements or incisive bass loops. The rhythm of their music often deviates from the liveliness prevalent in the British dance scene, being slower and more reflective.
