Khruangbin is a Texas psychedelic trio consisting of Laura Lee, Mark Speer and DJ Johnson.
Khruangbin are an unstoppable band, among the best known of today’s independent scene and protagonists of major international festivals. Over the last few years great musicians such as Paul McCartney, Questlove, Flea, Tina Weymouth and David Byrne have collaborated with them and their songs have been included in the soundtracks of major film and television productions.
From the beginning Khruangbin’s journey was unique: a sound and visual representation with few precedents, which ignores pop expectations, relies only on internal inspirations and a multitude of visions.
Over the past two years, Khruangbin have played around the world, selling out their music in such legendary concert halls as the Radio City Music Hall in New York, the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, the Sydney Opera House and the Alexandra Palace in London. Over the past year they have released five live LPs showcasing their skills onstage - with incredible guests such as Toro y Moi, Men I Trust and Nubya Garcia - partnered with Malian guitarist Vieux Farka Touré, in honor of the late Father Ali Farka Touré, with the album Ali. Also in 2022 Khruangbin released the second EP in collaboration with Leon Bridges, 'Texas Moon', going beyond the boundaries of chedpsihelic R&B.
Now Khruangbin are ready to present live their new album, A La Sala, to be released on 5 April 2024 for Dead Oceans.
