Jesús Manuel Nieves Cortez, aka Jhay Cortez, is a Puerto Rican record producer and singer originally from Rio Pedras.
One of the most prominent artists in the Latin pop music scene, but with a sound that often approaches trap and reggaeton. Jhay Cortez has achieved international success with the singles No me conoce, Estan Pa Mi, Bajo Cero, Somos Iguales and Dákiti.
Jhay Cortez has also been a record producer for several Latin singers such as Yandel, Nicky Jam and Ozuna. In 2017 he released his first single entitled Donde No Se Vea, which would be followed by Estan Pa Mi in collaboration with J Balvin. In 2018 he released his first EP Eyez on Me, while his first studio album titled Famouz dates back to 2019.
The last album of Jhay Cortez is Timelezz, released in 2021 and containing tracks such as Dilema, Esta dejà, Tokyo, En Mi Cuarto in collaboration with Skrillex and Los Bo with Myke Towers.
