All About Fast Animals and Slow Kids

After performing at the main clubs and Italian festival, Fast Animals and Slow Kids will arrive for the first time in the theatres of Milan, Florence and Rome with Una notte con: FAST ANIMALS AND SLOW KIDS - Concerto in 4 atti per piccola orchestra da camera.

Fast Animals and Slow Kids was founded in Perugia in 2008 and the band members are Aimone Romizi (voice and guitar), Alessio Mingoli (drums), Jacopo Gigliotti (bass) and Alessandro Guercini (guitar). Their peculiar name is taken from a gag of the American sitcom Family Guy.

Their first album Cavalli (2011) was produced and released by the label of Andrea Appino from The Zen Circus. Thanks to this project, the group became famous in the Italian underground scene.

In 2013, Hýbris brought the band on tour all over Italy for two years, including the headlining gigs at MIAMI Festival in Milan and Sherwood Festival in Padua.

Fast Animals and Slow Kids’ third record, Alaska, came out in 2014 and debuted at the top of the alternative chart of iTunes. This album marked the lyrical and musical maturity of the band, also thanks to the addition of the violin of Nicola Manzan of Bologna Violenta. The release of Alaska was followed by a tour that ended with a sold out concert at Alcatraz in Milan.

The 2017 album Forse Non è La Felicità, which was preceded by the song Annabelle, made Fast Animals and Slow Kids one of the most important rock bands in Italy.

In 2019 the band released Animali Notturni produced with Matteo Cantaluppi (Dardust, Thegiornalisti, Exotago and many others). The record ranked seventh and fourth in the best-selling record and vinyl charts.

Animali Notturni was followed by the songs Come Conchiglie and Cosa Ci Direbbe( featuring Willie Peyote), the first song off the new album È Già Domani released in September 2021.

The latest work of Fast Animals and Slow Kids is the album È già domani including the songs Cosa ci direbbe and Lago ad alta quota. In 2022 the band has collaborated with Luciano Ligabue for the song Il Tempo è Una Bugia. They later collaborated on the track Spaccio dei Santi Francesi

On 24 June, they opened the Paolo Nutini concert, together with Interpol, at the I-Days at the Ippodromo Snai La Maura in Milan. On 15 December their first live album was released, entitled Fast Animals and Slow Kids - Live con orchestra.

In spring 2024, the band embarked on a European tour of small clubs, bringing the first albums of their discography for the 10-year anniversary of Hỳbris and Alaska. They also collaborate with Finley on the song Bud Spencer from the album Pogo Mixtape Vol. 1, released on 17 May 2024. On 8 June, the single Come no was released.
