About
Alice Phoebe Lou, stage name of Alice Matthew, is a songwriter born in 1993 in Cape Town. Troughout his gap year Alice has moved to Amsterdam and to Berlin performing as a street artists.
In 2014 Alice released her first self-produced EP Momentum followed by the live album Live At Gruner Salon to raise funds for a studio album.
After performing live in Europe and USA, Alice Phoebe Lou released the album Orbit in 2016 followed by the EP Sola and by the book Songs, Poems and Memories. The EP includes the songs She nominated at the Oscar as Best Original Song for the soundtrack of Bombshell, The Hedy Lamarr Story.
Alice Phoebe Lou returned in 2019 with Paper Castles included in the list of the 50 best albums of 2019 by NBHAP and FMS with a tour of over 100 live shows. The artist ha salso released the albums Glow and Child’s Play in 2021.
