About
Jacopo Incani, aka Iosonouncane, is a songwriter and producer from Sardinia, Italy.
Jacopo began his career in 2000 with the band Adharma. In 2008 he left the group to pursue his solo career under the pseudonym of Iosonouncane in honor of the song Io Sono Uno of Luigi Tenco. Jacopo’s stage name also combines his first name and a reference to one of previous songs.
In 2010 Iosonouncane debuted with the album La Macarena su Roma, an original mix of songwriting and music played with loop, samples and acoustic guitar. The provocative lyrics deal with current affairs and social issues such as racism, social inequality and misinformation.
In 2012, Jacopo released the song Le Sirene di Luglio and announced Iosonouncane’s second album DIE after a long period of silence in January 2015. DIE became one of the most peculiar albums in the Italian music scene, making the artist known all over Europe.
In 2016 Iosonouncane collaborated with the historical Italian indie band Verdena on the EP Split where they covered each other songs.
IRA, Iosonouncane latest work, was released in 2021 preceded by the double single Novembre/Vedrai Vedrai.
